The "Evolution" of a modern fire appliance

The pictures follow the appliance from "Estepe" in Holland through to "Emergency-One" in Cummnock Scotland where the body work is built and the tank and pump fitted. The final product is an outstanding piece of workmanship and is a testiment to the many people involved in its design and construction. I was one of the lucky ones to be a part of the design team and must pay gratitude to Station Officer Alan Gawne (Transport officer) for involving me in the project.
