Welcome to my website dedicated to the Isle of Man Fire & Rescue Service.
My name is Justin McMullin and i'm attached to "Red Watch" based at the Islands only wholetime station in "Douglas" and have been for 10 years. I was a retained firefighter in Douglas for 3 years before becoming wholetime.
I have had an interest in fire appliances since an early age and have taken thousands of pictures which i hope to share with you here on my website.
This is an unofficial website and as such any views or comments made are not that of the Isle Of Man Fire & Rescue Service but are those of the editor and guests. All content is copyrighted and photos must not be copied and distributed without the owners permission.
Here you will find upto date information and pictures of our Fire appliance fleet, Personnel and also some of the many varied Incidents that we attend on a daily basis. You will also find information relating to some of the other emergency organisations based on the Island.
You will also find a staggering array of historical photographs that have been taken by one of the Islands finest historians and also writer of "Mann Ablaze" Stan Basnett.
Mr Basnett wrote the book back in 1990 which followed the early beginnings of the IOM Fire service right through to the modern day service that it is now.

Obviously since Stan wrote the book there have been a huge amount of changes, some groundbreaking and others setting a precedent on the World firefighting stage. Stans book is in limited supply and copies are rare however if you find one it is an excellent and informative read.
